Meet the team at The Cube
With many of The Cube’s venues now reopen following the further easing of restrictions, we wanted to use this opportunity to introduce you to some of the amazing team members that you may meet on your next visit and hear more about their role and what they love most about working at The Cube. We’re so happy that we can now welcome you all back!
Meet Carl.
Carl is the cleaning manager at The Cube and has been keeping The Cube pristine for a whole decade! Carl says that his favourite part of his job is that members from the various on-site teams all come together and work effectively as one big team to help support the tenants at The Cube. We asked Carl what his favourite thing is about working at The Cube and he replied, “working in such an iconic Birmingham building”.
Meet Tahir.
Working at The Cube for four years, Tahir is our security manager and describes his favourite part of the role as being able to work closely with the management team. He also enjoys building good working relationships with both the tenants and the rest of the in-house teams to ensure The Cube is a safe and welcoming environment. We asked Tahir what he loves most about Birmingham and he said the diversity and the multi-culturism of the city.
Meet Anthony
Being a good Teppanyaki chef requires both hard and soft skills. You need to show attention to detail, be able to multi-task and have an excellent understanding of cleanliness, as well as cooking techniques with culinary expertise – this is what chef Anthony at Shogun Teppanyaki told us. Now that Shogun is back open following the easing of government restrictions, Anthony said he’s really looking forward to developing his sushi skills and giving Shogun guests the best experience as he’s really missed live show cooking.
Meet Abbas.
As the newest restaurant to open at The Cube, we spoke to Abbas, operations leader at JAQKS Chicken + Chips. Having only worked at JAQKS for two months, Abbas said he loves working at The Cube as it is a very fast pace working environment. His favourite part of the role is coaching employees and supporting them with their development and growth within the fast-food industry.
Meet Ashleigh.
Ashleigh has been working as an events coordinator for Black & White Hospitality for over three years. She says that she loves getting to work with a variety of people, both staff and guests, and being able to be part of their special celebrations. Every day is different, and each event is unique, with guests putting their own personal touch to it. Apart from the team she works with, Ashleigh says her favourite thing about The Cube must be the views and the central location, as there is so much around to see and do – you can really appreciate the city. Ashleigh told us what she loves most about Birmingham is, “how diverse the area is – there really is something for everyone from theatre and food to entertainment and history, it is an amazing city to explore.” We couldn’t agree more Ashleigh!
