February Half Term
Another week off school is here and if you’re keen to have a day out that the whole family will enjoy, there’s nowhere better than The Cube.
First up, let’s talk about The Cube’s fantastic central location, which is just a stone’s throw away from some of the city’s most popular attractions. Your little ones can be transported to an underwater world at the National SEA LIFE Centre, see The Cube made entirely out of LEGO at the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre, and enjoy unforgettable theatre at Birmingham Hippodrome and The Alexandra.
Back to The Cube itself and if you’re looking for a fun-filled activity kids of all ages will love, you can never go wrong with bowling. On Level 6 you’ll find Lane 7, a boutique bowling alley that has a cool retro theme and is home to nine state-of-the-art lanes. Your kids can discover classic arcade games of the ’80s like Pac-Man and Donkey Kong, challenge you to a game of ping-pong and even take to the mic in the venue’s UV-lit karaoke booth. From family tickets to student discounts and drinks pack-ages, check out Lane 7’s website to find out how you can save on your visit.
Fancy introducing the kids to a different kind of cuisine? Then take them to Rodizio Rico on Level 7. As soon as you step through the door, you’ll be immersed in the authentic atmosphere of Brazilian style dining, where unlimited freshly grilled meats are served directly from the charcoal grill by experi-enced passadors. Ideal for little ones keen to pick and choose exactly what they eat, they can also help themselves to unlimited servings of street food, fresh vegetables, side salads and more. The best bit? Rodizio Rico is super affordable for families! Guests under five can dine for free, while chil-dren up to 10 years old can sample everything on the menu for just £10.99.
Alternatively, if your kids like Italian food, they’ll love Bardolino on Level 6. Home to crowd-pleasing Italian classics, they can tuck into pizzas in all their favourite flavours like margherita, pepperoni and ham and mushroom. Also on the menu are delicious pasta options including baked macaroni cheese and spaghetti bolognaise, as well as a golden chicken crunch with French fries. Top it all off with a heavenly milkshake, piece of cake or fruit salad for dessert.
Last but not least is Shogun Teppan-yaki on Level 7, which guarantees sizzling Japanese cuisine and culinary entertainment. Specialising in Teppan-yaki, noodles and conveyor sushi, the restaurant com-bines the freshest ingredients with the theatre of live iron plate cooking at your table. Alternatively, if you’re popping in for a quick lunch, why not order a traditional Bento box to take away? For just £7, they’re made fresh to order and are served with rice, salad and assorted vegetables, alongside main selection bento.
