An Autumnal Lunch
Golden sun, breezy walks and any excuse for a hearty meal. We love autumn at The Cube and Marco Pierre White is making everyone’s favourite season even better with its scrumptious Sunday Lunch menu.
Take the lift to Level 25 and kick off your visit with one of Marco’s signature cocktails – you can’t go wrong with a Mojito, Strawberry Daiquiri or Espresso Martini. Or if you fancy something more out of the ordinary, we recommend a Negroni, which takes its name from Count Camillo Negroni who drank in Café Casoni, Florence. Made up of Beefeater gin, Martini Rosso and Campari, the Negroni is delicately served over ice with an orange slice.
Enjoy your cocktail while gazing out at Birmingham’s beautiful skyline. The views make a spectacular backdrop to lunch and we’d recommend booking a window table.
Now for the bit everyone’s been waiting for – Sunday lunch. The restaurant’s flavour-filled menu offers two courses for £20 per person and three courses for £25 per person.
Perfect for a pre-dinner nibble, why not try the crispy devilled whitebait with a homemade tartare sauce for starters? There’s also a ham hock terrine, complete with sourdough bread and a generous dollop of piccalilli. The restaurant’s vegan and vegetarian options are just as tasty too and include a warming creamy tomato and red pepper soup, as well as a beetroot and goats’ cheese salad, topped with a crunchy walnut dressing.
If your Sunday lunch typically consists of a classic roast dinner, you’ve come to the right place. Tuck into 28-day aged Scottish roast striploin beef with all the trimmings, including roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables, Yorkshire pudding and gravy. Prefer pork? Then try the roast pork loin with chunky apple sauce and gravy.
The restaurant has a number of wonderful vegetarian main options including a pan-fried fillet of sea bass, a popular choice among fish lovers which is served with crushed lemon potatoes, spinach and sauce vierge. Alternatively, there’s gnocchi alla sorrentina, a comforting autumnal dish loved for its fluffy potatoes and mouth-watering layer of buffalo mozzarella.
You can’t pass up on a pudding at this time of year, so top your lunch off with dreamy desserts like sticky toffee pudding, lemon tart with strawberry ice cream and crème brulee. Whichever you choose to indulge in, you’re guaranteed incredible flavours that will more than satisfy your sweet tooth.
Before you head out for a crisp walk along the canal, why not warm up with a coffee, hot chocolate or after dinner cocktail? Treat yourself to an Irish coffee, the ultimate cold weather tipple that well and truly packs a punch.
Get that warm and cosy autumn feeling at Marco Pierre White, the perfect place to unwind with friends and family while enjoying warming food and stunning views of the city.
