ONE LEGO BRICK AT A TIME

The Cube forms part of MINILAND landmarks in 2018…
LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Birmingham has announced its plans to recreate The Cube entirely out of LEGO – and we couldn’t be more excited.
With foundations laid and the building work underway, The Cube will join the region’s 45, chosen landmarks, including The BT Tower, The Library of Birmingham and New Street Station, as they join the interactive MINILAND zone of our city’s latest attraction in the Barclaycard Arena.
Over 1.5 million bricks and 6,800 man hours will go in to bringing the scaled LEGO city to life, and the feat is even more impressive considering the geniuses behind the build have no manuals to turn to, instead relying on photographs and CAD to complete the project.
With work set to continue over the coming months, the LEGO developers are looking to be as authentic as can possibly be, taking in to account animations, glowing towers and lighting effects down to the smallest detail.
LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Birmingham is set to open to the public this summer. Advanced tickets are now on sale here.
