A host of local journalists and bloggers gathered at The Cube’s newest restaurant for an evening of good food and cocktails.
Osteria Rodizio Rico hosted the event, to introduce the group to Birmingham’s latest dining experience – all you can eat pizza and pasta brought to your table.
Hosted by the restaurant’s owner Mike Nayla, the evening saw famous faces from the world of radio, TV and print enjoying authentic Italian dishes, alongside some of the city’s brightest bloggers.
The freshly cooked selection of pizza and pasta dishes was complemented by strawberry or peach Bellinis and delicious Caipirinhas, the national cocktail of Brazil, in honour of Osteria’s partner restaurant Rodizio Rico.
The concept was a huge success with the diners, as the Osteria team circulated with plate after plate of fantastic food, serving such treats as four cheese gnocci, spaghetti with clams, pizza bresaola, quattro formaggi and the traditional margherita.
Free Radio’s Dan Morrissey tweeted: “I may have to INSIST all restaurants provide ENTIRE MENU SAMPLING OPTION from now on. Stuffed. V tasty! Thanks”.
Blogger katrinafrances.com posted: “Osteria Rodizio Rico is in such a central location in Birmingham that it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re looking to eat some authentic tasting Italian food”.
Radio WM’s Steve Hermon declared it a “nice meal” and Helen from positivefridays.com admitted she was “so full!”
