Two weeks to go! - 28/11/11

With just two weeks to go until the official opening of the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar and Grill and Hotel Indigo boutique hotel at The Cube, preparations are well underway.

Delivery teams are working around the clock at Birmingham's landmark destination to get everything into place from tables to pillows, cutlery to champagne flutes:

  • 200 tables for Marco's Steakhouse Bar and Grill and a large table for the private boardroom
  • 360 knives including professional chef knives for Head Chef, Matt Osborne
  • 600 Champagne glasses for the glamorous skyline champagne bar
  • 100 rolls of wallpaper especially flown in from Holland for the luxurious hotel bedrooms
  • 500 top of the range soft fluffy pillows
  • 3000 complimentary toiletries bottles
Neil Edginton, director at The Cube, comments: "The countdown is on to the official launch of the hotel and restaurant and The Cube has never been busier, with the teams working flat out to ensure everything is perfect for opening night.

"In the past few months the restaurant and hotel have been transformed into a glamorous leisure venue, which will offer the ultimate rooftop dining experience with luxury accommodation and panoramic views across the city.

"There is a real sense of anticipation for those of us working and living in and around The Cube as the launch will undoubtedly bring a new dimension to The Cube and to Birmingham city centre as a whole."
