An icon is born - the jewel of Birmingham

Birmingham's first private members bar set to launch at the cube - 20/07/11

Birmingham’s landmark destination, The Cube, will be home to the city centre’s latest Private Members Club and Bar, it was announced today.

Managed by Sanguine Hospitality Ltd, the much anticipated 5,000sq ft canal-side bar will mirror some of the most exclusive clubs in London as a luxurious venue offering members unrivalled entertainment, relaxation and an open-air terrace area overlooking the water.

The private member’s bar will adjoin celebrity hairdresser, Adee Phelan’s salon and new brazillian restaurant, Rodizio Rico, completing the canalside area of the iconic building.

Next door will be The Cube’s Club and Spa, complete with indoor pool, saunas, steam rooms, 10 treatment rooms, a hydrotherapy pool, a dry flotation tank, and a state-of-the art gym.

Neil Edginton, director at The Cube, comments: “Since plans for The Cube were first put in place, we have always wanted to launch the first Soho House style private members bar in Birmingham, so we’re delighted to confirm the news that construction will soon be underway.

“The Cube is the ideal location for the first bar of this kind and will complement the Marco Pierre White rooftop restaurant, Hotel Indigo Birmingham and the Club and Spa. The Cube will house everything for the discerning visitor who wants to relax and enjoy the very best standards Birmingham can offer with a little privacy. The announcement also demonstrates that the scheme will not only be a landmark destination for those visiting the city, but will offer high-end entertainment and exclusivity for residents right here in the local community.”
